Aerial Lift Pre-Use Inspection

29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v) · inspected before each day's use · ANSI/SAIA A92 series

Fill it in at the machine, print it, keep it. Nothing is sent to a server — the form keeps a draft in this browser only. Items that do not exist on your machine are left blank: a scissor lift has no boom or jib.

This page records what the operator found. It does not inspect, certify or approve any machine, and it does not decide whether a defect takes a lift out of service — that call belongs to the operator and the employer.

The record is worth most when a rental company disagrees with you

A contractor who damages a hired lift and cannot produce inspection records is in a much worse argument about who owes for it. A dated photograph of the damage beside that day's hour meter and a signed inspection is the whole case.
